Project Description
This mid-century Dallas home was given new life through a thoughtful redesign that marries charm, character, and modern livability. The Ashford Drive project focused on transforming the dining room, kitchen, and adjacent living areas into a cohesive, light-filled environment that reflects the homeowners’ love of color, storytelling, and collected design.
In the dining room, cloud-patterned wallpaper replaced dated green walls, instantly brightening the space while adding subtle movement and depth. The custom-curated gallery wall, vintage antlers, and tailored wicker dining chairs complement a sculptural white chandelier — creating a layered mix of texture, nostalgia, and sophistication. The adjacent bar cart nook, now styled with fresh florals and classic accessories, connects seamlessly to the butler’s pantry and kitchen beyond.
The kitchen features polished brass shelving and warm, personalized styling that bridges traditional and contemporary sensibilities. Styled vignettes of glassware, art, and vintage finds bring warmth and approachability to the crisp architectural details, creating visual continuity from the kitchen into the dining room.
Emerald Bee Interiors guided every detail from concept board to completion, integrating pattern, art, and materiality to create a collected yet cohesive aesthetic that feels timeless and personal. The result is a home that honors its midcentury roots while embracing a sense of modern Southern charm.
This project was featured on Homeworthy in “A Charming 1950s Dallas Home Reimagined by Twin Sisters,” highlighting the home’s personality and layered design approach (though Emerald Bee Interiors was not credited in the feature).
